Overview

Cracker Barrel is seeking a Director of Facility Services to join the Home Office and direct the Facility Services department as it relates to facility support, environmental, national contracts, and maintenance services for all Cracker Barrel stores and Home Office facilities. This Director will lead the process required to complete all building remodels, additions, and off-sets requested by Operations.

Responsibility

  • Research and develop cost effective maintenance and construction programs and procedures.
  • Directs and oversees all facility services, environmental services, and Home Office maintenance staff. Directs for Operations the building design for all remodels, additions, and off-sets through interfacing with local building officials, architects and engineers.
  • Reviews and approves cost effective facility support and maintenance/construction programs and procedures. Directs the implementation and administration of all facility support, national programs, and environmental services operations. Oversees conducting Unit Review Program.
  • Oversees the timeline and budget development for Operations’ Special Projects and Construction Program and miscellaneous capital expenditures budget; tracks the status of each to ensure proposed schedules and budget parameters are achieved.
  • Develops and maintains communication link between facility services and field operations management to encourage policy and procedure compliance and promote preventative maintenance measures; stays abreast of and tracks construction, design, installation, and maintenance issues.
  • Plans and develops strategic direction for Facility Services, Environmental Affairs, and Maintenance departments; develops and manages operating and departmental budgets. Develops and administers policy, procedures, and systems to obtain both departmental and corporate goals and objectives.

  • Thorough knowledge of construction terminology, materials, plans, specifications, and processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection equipment and systems.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management plus 8-10 years Construction or Facility Services Management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
